WWE Scouting, Flair, Kurt Angle vs. Randy Couture

-- WWE has sent all the major players from their creative team (except Stephanie McMahon and Michael Hayes) down to Florida Championship Wrestling. They will be scouting the developmental talents to see if anybody is ready to be brought up to the main roster. The developmental wrestlers are wrestling matches and cutting promos all day today. Everything is being video taped and WWE will be evaulating everything back in Stanford.

-- Former UFC champion Randy Couture recently stated that if he and Kurt Angle have a fight later this year, it would be a "grappling" match and not an MMA fight.

-- Despite being kept off television, Ric Flair will continue on the road with WWE doing media appearances, autograph signings, trade shows, and other promotional events as a company representative. Flair will be able to make a significant amount of money doing these appearances. There are still no plans for Flair to return to television. He has turned down offers from WWE to be an announcer or work as a road agent.

flair as an announcer would be interesting. I'm glad to see Randy is considering a grappling match instead of a mma style one.

I don't think Flair would do well as an announcer... although considering the quality of announcers right now (Wow, Coach is bad! If you're getting burnt by Cole constantly you know something's wrong! And that guy on ECW... terrible!) he might be better.
He hasn't got an announcers voice though and would end up being to hard to understand I think.

And about the Angle/Couture match up, Kurt is lucky it isnt MMA, he would look bad beyond measure in a UFC type match.

Kurt would get his career shortened by months if he went through with that.

Well i dont think Randy Couture will look all that bad in a grapling match against Kurt Angle. Dont forget that Randy has an extansive background in amateur wrestling. And Randy's experience in MMA will be a plus for him in therm of submission wrestling. Im realy looking foward to see a match against those 2 somewere down the line. Im sure TNA is thinking about this and it would be a money maker for them and would give them some much needed mainstream attention that they need.
